Barb's house won for day 48. Barb works with the same organization as Katie and has a very American home. The first time I was there I said, "Barb, this feels like America!" And she said, "Duh, because it is." Barb has always opened up her home to me, for cookies or craft parties, even a game of scrabble. My first Christmas eve here she hosted me and my friends in her home and made soup for us, so we could have a homey place to spend our first Christmas away from our parents. So, this is a picture of us out at her house to celebrate Katie's birthday.
