Day 50

Wednesday marked the beginning of the end here in Thailand for me. 50 days left. I remembered when I moved here I took tons of pictures because it was all new and exciting, but kind of dropped off the photo face of the earth. Good news is: I am back. There is something about wanting to capture your favorite things about a place before you leave, while the things you remember about it are fresh. What I am going to attempt to do is pick my favorite picture from each day and why it's a special part of Thailand for me. So here we go...
Day 50:
It just so happened that Day 50 was the day that my goodbyes started with the girls who have been in my bible study over the past year.  Kelly Newton in the red, second from the left is heading back to the good ol' USA. Kelly is who brings a good dose of humor to our group. The type of person that turns everyday things, that probably happen to most of us, into funny stories.  This picture is from the last moments when we were waiting for her to go on the plane. Chiang Mai's International airport a 10 min drive from my house, which means that just about when everyone leaves whether it is for Christmas, or for good: everyone shows up to say bye.  I can't count how many trips I have made there, either welcoming people in or saying final goodbyes, but it is definitely a special part of Chiang Mai.
