Day 15

So, since the last day of school I only had my kiddos for about 40 minutes, thanks to special classes I said my goodbyes to them on Wednesday. I awarded them the 1st Annual Miss Sara Awards. Which was a candy bar that represented something that reminded me of them. It was really fun to praise them in front of the class and for them to guess who would get each award. On Thursday we played "telephone pictionary" together which was so fun. Then I got the chance to hear their prayer requests one last time, and to pray for them and with them one last time. I read them a story and I had lots of sad eyes saying Goodbye. About 6 of my girls came back up just sobbing, I guess it is a hard thing to love a teacher and then realize you aren't going to see them again. It's a lot for these kids to go through. Year after year. I mean most of my teachers are still teaching at the school I left, I couldn't imagine the transition that these kids go through. They were a great class, and I am sure going to miss them.
