Every year the fourth grade does a medieval unit at the end of the year. Then we have a feast to celebrate the end of the year, share speeches and to show my classroom slideshow. I was in charge of decorating the tables. Which, if you know me -- I LOVE decorating for anything, especially if it has to do with flowers. I was on flower duty on my way to school. So, I drive down to the flower market at 6:45 am on my motorbike. This is a picture of what I hauled out of there. 100 roses, and everything else you see for a grand total of... $10. I made 6 tall centerpieces and 12 low ones. Those yellow flowers were sticking out over the top of my head on my bike, the purple ones were in my basket, and the yellow roses with the lotus flowers were hanging off my handle bars. I wish I had a picture of what I looked like actually carrying all of them.
