Cheap Homemade Art

After falling in love with a $300 piece of original art found at a local art studio, I decided that I could make one that looked pretty close on my own for the grand total of $6 with supplies bought at Michael's.

Step 1: I freehanded the shape I wanted to collage -- the outline of the USA
 2. Next I painted the free space with a cheap ($0.25 a bottle) acrylic paint
 4. With a permanent glue stick I started to collage the scrapbook paper starting with the edges first

5. I then painted a layer of Modge-Podge over the entire thing to hold in place once it was dry, and Voila! You have a cheap, yet beautiful piece of art!
