Well, yes sometimes I forget I live in a bizarre place unlike America -- and then creatures like these appear outside your front door when you come home at night, and you don't think twice about it. This is what living in a tropical environment gets you, large freaky creatures. If you know what it is, please feel free to comment about it...

Oh, my goodness! I hope it was dead! That is one of the dangerous kinds of centipedes we have in Thailand, the bright orange ones, that can bite and really hurt you. Use the shoe to squish it dead if it wasn't already! Rainy season always brings the critters out.
